Mega Project Qiddiya — Real Estate Investment for Foreigners
Qiddiya is Saudi Arabia's entertainment mega-city near Riyadh. What foreign investors need to know about property opportunities in and around this project.
What Is Qiddiya?
Qiddiya is a $8 billion entertainment, sports, and arts city being developed 45km west of Riyadh. It will include:
- Formula 1 race circuit
- Six Flags theme park (under construction)
- Water parks, sports arenas, concert venues
- Limited residential component
Property Investment Angle
Qiddiya itself is not primarily a residential real estate play. The investment case for property buyers is the Riyadh halo effect — properties in western Riyadh near the Qiddiya corridor may benefit from the project’s development.
No significant public residential sales in Qiddiya itself have been announced as of early 2025.
